Welcome to the June 2026 edition of our Pets in Turkey newsletter!

On Wednesday, July 15, Pets in Turkey will take part in GlobalGiving’s July Bonus Day, a 24-hour campaign where your generosity goes further than ever. For one day only, donations help unlock matching funds, meaning the support you give for our rescue dogs and cats can be doubled.
How it works
Donations of $100 or more help unlock matching support from GlobalGiving’s $150,000 matching pool.
The more we raise during the 24 hours, the more matching funds we receive to power our rescues.
Every donation also helps us qualify for bonus prizes, up to $1,200 extra on top of the matching
Why we need your help?
In the past four months, we have:
Rescued 27 dogs, 5 puppies, and 7 cats from shelters and the streets — all examined, tested, and given the care or treatment they needed.
Completed 18 spay/neuter surgeries, with 6 dogs still waiting.
Completed and registered 27 titer tests (required for EU adoption, ~USD 240 each, one of our biggest hurdles). 25 of them are still waiting for their turn.
Provided daily routine care for 70 dogs and 10 cats: vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention.
Sent 36 dogs and 4 cats home to their families! 🎉
During our Little by Little campaign in March, we raised approximately USD 5,000 thanks to our supporters. But the rescues and emergencies that followed cost far more. Since April, we haven't been able to pay down our clinic debt.
The pressure is now so high that we can't take in new animals until the debt drops, even as shelters overflow with dogs and cats running out of time.
We need your help to help them.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to clearing our clinic debt and reopening our rescue efforts. Together, we can continue giving abandoned animals the second chance they deserve.
